10 reviews for Northwest Scents Lavender and Rosemary Hair Oil for Black, African American

  1. Ebony

Instead of purchasing the separate ingredients it’s all in one bottle. I like it a lot and will purchase again. I use it in a spray bottle with water to moisturize my hair.

  2. Sheena

Great for 4c hair. Used for my hot oil treatment and also applied some to my spritz bottle. Keep hair soft and fresh.

  3. BigHair

I just bought this on a whim because it has lavender and rosemary fragrance. well…. this oil is the bomb dot com! lol I applied it to damp hair. then followed with my regular cream styler and gel. it smells sooo good all day. and the following days. I even smelled it from under my scrub cap at work. I also use it at night before wrapping or twisting my hair. I’m so happy I bought it. I will definitely buy more.

  4. Amazon Customer

Love this oil! Smells wonderful and works well for twisting.

  5. Shoe-da-lay-e-hu

This product is great for my hair. It keeps it moist and shiny without leaving it oily or heavy. It smells great and is natural. you only need a little for your entire head, so it will last a long time.

  6. faith

I love this oil for my hair i mix it with some other oils that i have smells really good to.

  7. Jen Mev

Scent is a bit strong but it works outstanding to keep hair soft and frizz free.

  8. Rena Davis

    Works wonderful. Smell is strong.

  9. N. Jenelle

I am of African descent. My hair is thick and naturally curly with low porosity (3c-4a). This oil is a more rich alternative to regular coconut oil. The scent is lavender and rosemary. The lavender smells like French lavender–not artificial or overly sweet. The trace of rosemary is definitely present as well. I have used this oil to successfully seal in moisture; and I layer it after cowashing my hair.UPDATE: Upgraded to a 5-star rating. It works on more than hair! I live in the Southwest where it is hot 9+ months out of the year. I did some research, and apparently, mosquitoes hate the scent of both lavender and rosemary. Over the past summer/fall/spring, I applied this oil to my skin daily, and I only got ONE mosquito bite!
